Maria Montessori

Whether you are AMI or AMS trained, private or public, a parent, staff person, administrator or someone wanting to find out more about us, we have gathered all individuals interested in Montessori under one umbrella, so to speak, in the state of Wisconsin. With over 100 members from public, charter, and private Montessori schools, we cut across barriers with one common purpose: to put kids first.

Our goal for this website is to expand our own and each others’ understanding of Montessori. Enjoy the web site and feel free to provide us with feedback as to its content, ease in exploring, and topics you would like addressed.

Beyond the website, WMA is committed to providing schools, faculty and staff with opportunities for networking, connecting and promoting Montessori Education throughout the state.  In addition, we offer an annual conference, a summer institute, poly-com networking meetings and data-base source for test scores.  WMA is also proud to provide one scholarship a year for Montessori training for teachers.

Warm regards,

Josh Zimmers and Nancy Schaitel
Co-Executive Directors of WMA
